Spectrex SharpEye 40/40D-LB-632SFY7 Ultra-Fast UV/IR Flame Detector

The Spectrex SharpEye 40/40D-LB-632SFY7 Ultra-Fast UV/IR Flame Detector provides rapid and reliable fire detection for hazardous industrial environments.

Its integrated ultraviolet and infrared optical sensors can detect fires involving hydrocarbon fuels and gases, hydrogen, hydroxyl compounds, metals, inorganic materials, and other hazardous sources while maintaining strong resistance to common false-alarm stimuli.

The detector provides detection ranges up to 93 ft for qualifying gasoline and n-heptane fires and offers three selectable sensitivity levels for adapting performance to different applications. Ultra-fast detection supports response times as low as 20 milliseconds under specified test conditions.

The heated optics and continuous built-in testing help maintain dependable operation in extreme temperatures, rain, snow, condensation, and other challenging conditions.

This configuration features universal wiring, two ¾-inch NPT cable entries, an extended operating range of -76°F to 185°F, an electropolished 316 stainless-steel enclosure, U.S. and Canadian explosion-proof approvals, an included 316 stainless-steel tilt mount, and an ABS protective cover. IP66, IP68, and NEMA 6P environmental protection make it well suited for a variety of conditions.
