Spectrex SharpEye 40/40D-I-632SFY7 Ultra-Fast QuadSense IR3 Flame Detector

The Spectrex SharpEye 40/40D-I-632SFY7 Ultra-Fast QuadSense IR3 Flame Detector provides rapid, long-range detection of hydrocarbon fuel and gas fires in hazardous industrial environments. Its advanced multispectrum technology uses four infrared sensing bands to distinguish genuine flame signatures from non-flame background radiation, delivering high sensitivity with strong resistance to false alarms.

The detector can identify qualifying gasoline and n-heptane fires at distances up to 300 ft and offers six selectable sensitivity ranges for adapting detection performance to specific applications. Heated optics help support dependable operation in rain, snow, condensation, and extreme temperatures, while built-in optical and electronic testing continuously monitors detector integrity.

This configuration features universal wiring, two ¾-inch NPT cable entries, an extended operating range of -76°F to 185°F, an electropolished 316 stainless-steel enclosure, U.S. and Canadian explosion-proof approvals, an included 316 stainless-steel tilt mount, and an ABS protective cover. Its rugged construction and IP66/IP68 environmental protection make it well suited for refineries, petrochemical plants, offshore facilities, tank farms, pipelines, fuel-storage areas, power-generation sites, and other high-risk industrial applications.
