Spectrex SharpEye 40/40D-I-631SCY8 Triple IR Flame Detector with Tilt

The Spectrex SharpEye 40/40D-I-631SCY8 Triple IR Flame Detector provides ultra-fast, long-range flame detection for hazardous and high-risk industrial environments. Its QuadSense IR3 technology uses four infrared sensors to distinguish hydrocarbon flame signatures from non-flame background radiation, delivering high sensitivity with strong resistance to false alarms.

Designed to detect qualifying hydrocarbon fuel and gas fires at distances up to 300 ft, the detector offers six selectable sensitivity levels and high-speed response for rapidly developing fire events. Built-in optical and electronic testing continuously monitors detector integrity, while heated optics support reliable performance in rain, snow, ice, condensation, and other challenging conditions.

This configuration features universal wiring, M25 cable entries, an electropolished 316 stainless-steel enclosure, ATEX and IECEx hazardous-area approvals, an included 316 stainless-steel tilt mount, and a stainless-steel protective cover. Its IP66/IP68 and NEMA 6P environmental protection makes it well suited for refineries, petrochemical facilities, offshore installations, pipelines, tank farms, power plants, fuel storage areas, and other demanding industrial applications.
