Spectrex SharpEye 40/40D-I-631SCY7 Ultra-Fast QuadSense IR3 Flame Detector

The Spectrex SharpEye 40/40D-I-631SCY7 Ultra-Fast QuadSense IR3 Flame Detector provides rapid, long-range detection of hydrocarbon fuel and gas fires in hazardous industrial environments. Its advanced QuadSense technology uses four infrared sensing bands to distinguish genuine flame signatures from background radiation, delivering high sensitivity with strong resistance to false alarms.

The detector can identify qualifying hydrocarbon fires at distances up to 300 ft and offers six selectable sensitivity ranges for adapting performance to different applications. Heated optics help maintain dependable operation in rain, snow, condensation, and other challenging environmental conditions, while continuous built-in testing monitors optical integrity and electronic operation.

This configuration features universal wiring, M25 cable entries, an extended -76°F to 185°F operating range, an electropolished 316 stainless-steel enclosure, ATEX/IECEx/UKCA hazardous-area approvals, an included 316 stainless-steel tilt mount, and an ABS protective cover. IP66, IP68, and NEMA 6P environmental protection make it well suited for refineries, petrochemical facilities, offshore installations, tank farms, pipelines, fuel-storage areas, power plants, and other high-risk industrial applications.
