Spectrex SharpEye 40/40C-I-642AFY7 - IR Flame Detector with Tilt Mount

The Spectrex SharpEye 40/40C-I-642AFY7 Multispectrum Quad-Sense IR Flame Detector provides advanced long-range detection of hydrocarbon fuel and gas fires in demanding industrial and hazardous environments. Its Quad-Sense IR3 technology uses multiple infrared sensors to distinguish genuine flame signatures from background radiation, providing you with high sensitivity coupled with strong resistance to false alarms.

The detector can identify qualifying hydrocarbon fires at distances up to 215 ft and typically responds in under five seconds. Five selectable sensitivity levels allow the detector to be configured for different applications, while the built-in optical and electronic self-test continuously monitors system integrity.

This configuration features universal wiring, ¾-inch NPT cable entries, a durable polyurethane-painted aluminum enclosure, FM/FMC/CSA hazardous-area approvals, an included stainless-steel 316 tilt mount, and an ABS protective cover. With IP66/IP68 and NEMA 6P environmental protection, the SharpEye 40/40C-I is well suited for refineries, petrochemical facilities, tank farms, pipelines, power plants, aircraft hangars, warehouses, and other high-risk industrial locations.
