The 3M™ Fit Test Adapter 601 has been designed to help with quantitative fit testing (QNFT) of compatible 3M reusable respirators with certain sampling instruments, such as a TSI® PortaCount® Respirator Fit Tester.
It lets safety professionals connect bayonet-style 3M half-face and full-face respirators (such as 6000, 6500/6500QL, 7500, FF-400 and 7800 series) to fit testing equipment such as a TSI® PortaCount® Respirator Fit Tester.
Quantitative fit testing is required to obtain an OSHA assigned protection factor (APF) of 50 for full facepieces in negative-pressure air-purifying mode
