Description

Provides automatic reserve air when electrical failure or reduced pressure from the main air source occurs while working in Immediately Dangerous to Life and Health (IDLH) or hazardous environments. In the event of a pressure or electrical failure, the system automatically switches to the reserve air cylinder(s). Local and optional remote alarms signal workers that the primary system has failed and switch to back-up air. NIOSH requires use of 5-minute airline escape respirators when working in IDLH environments. All portable and fixed breathing air filtration systems meet or exceed OSHA 1910.134 and Canadian breathing air standards.
